Sedative Medication
For patients with extreme fear of the dentist, we prescribe a sedative pill that you would take the night before your appointment and one hour before your appointment. It would insure a good nights sleep the night before and a nice comfortable feeling throughout your appointment.  You'll need someone to drive you here and back if your on this medication. You will not be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Nitrous oxide
Nitrous oxide is a great tool in reducing anxiety and stress. The effects of nitrous oxide stop within minutes so you'll be able to drive your self and return to work absolutely normal. Nitrous oxide is available in some calm dental locations call for details.

Flat screen Television

It was reported that the sound of the drill is the most stressful part of the dental visit. We have flat screens in every operatory with headphones so you can enjoy direct TV programing while we are working. The dental drill sound is replaced with whatever soothing show you choose to watch.  Call to see if the Calm dental office closest to you offers Flat screen Televisions.

Painless Dentistry

Modern techniques such as using lasers means the dental shot is a thing of the past. Also with new extremely small guage anesthetic techniques there is usually no discomfort associated at all.
